When the owner of this house decided to build on this quiet cul de sac he hired two of Dallas' best - Bob Thompson as Builder and Elby Martin as Architect - to design a home that merges Tuscan Mediterranean and Santa Barbara Style Architectures. This Nearly 10,000 square foot home sits on over half an acre of perfectly manicured and lush landscape. Five large bedrooms, most with on suite balconies, all have beautifully designed on-suite bathrooms and generous closet space. The kitchen is every chef's dream and I can envision many fun family moments around its massive island. Three state of the art ovens, two large refrigerators, and a perfectly appointed gas stove top allow ample ability to feed a large family a gourmet meal or to cook a fabulous array of food for party guests while they enjoy cocktails around the adjacent wet bar and wine room. A massive exercise room is the perfect place to burn off some energy, and an upstairs game room, media room, and billiards room offers the perfect spot to entertain kids. A formal library downstairs also doubles as the perfect man cave. A spacious study is a great place to knock out some work from a home office. The outdoor summer kitchen is a perfect place to barbecue while hanging out by the pool in the summer, or, cozy up on the couch to watch your favorite show on a crisp winter day. The heated floors and fireplace will keep you warm! Enjoy all of these photos - I'm sure you won't miss the attention to every immaculate detail this house has to offer.

This is a great addition to your morning coffee ritual or an afternoon pick me up. The Nespresso Aeroccino Plus Automatic Milk Frother is one of my favorite things I have purchased for my kitchen in a long time. It heats and foams the milk with one push of a button and is a cinch to clean. If you want an iced latte you skip the heat option. Never knew it was possible to make such a nice foamy latte at home!
It retails for $99.00 and is sold at Williams Sonoma and Bed Bath and Beyond you can also Buy it here along with a Espresso Maker from target.

I am really looking forward to the Bubbly Q this year. Troy and I went last year and had a blast. The food was amazing and the silent auction items were pretty great. We got Jack a dog bed that we can't get him out of. This year I am looking forward to eating food from Nobu and Five Sixty and mingling with the fun crowd that attends. I hear that tickets are almost sold out, so if you want to go, get yours fast! You can purchase your tickets here.

Imagine buying a home that allows you to walk out your front door (and courtyard) and have only steps to go to some of Dallas' most delicious restaurants and popular bars. Yes, thats right, this home is located at 2717 N Henderson Avenue just steps from Hibiscus, Fireside Pies, Victor Tangos and The Old Monk. The current owners built this place in 2006 and did not leave one corner untouched when it came to finish-outs and details. The walled in courtyard surrounding the front yard and well appointed backyard provide privacy outside from the exciting hustle and bustle around.
This 2974 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 and a half bathroom, single family attached home can be yours for $599,000.

Yesterday was my brother, Kirby (not pictured here as he celebrated in NYC), and sister, Kim's birthday. Crazy that they are exactly two years apart to the day! We went to Sissy's Southern Kitchen to celebrate. Don't plan on eating healthy there, fried chicken and Mac and Cheese is a must I had fun putting together childish little party favors for everyone (pink for the girls, blue for the boys) and although my nephew had fun with them, I think the adults may have enjoyed them more.

This condo holds a very special place in my heart! It is actually a bittersweet feeling to list it. It has been passed through my family starting with my sister, Kim, to me, then to my brother, Kirby. It is now time to say goodbye and sell it! It goes in MLS next week, but I thought it would be fun to spread the word in advance and see if we get any nibbles.
It was purchased as a two bedroom condo and my sister gave it her magic touch with renovations that turned the 2nd bedroom into a formal library and a cozy media room.
Just looking at this sign makes me happy and brings back good memories. The Claridge has an incredible reputation for its impeccable service and tip top security.
I loved having all these drawers and this counter space in the dressing room for accessories. It is adjacent to "her closet" and a "his closet" is right around the corner. Lack of closet space is certainly not an issue here.
This is the "her" side of the master bathroom. I loved having the sit down vanity to do makeup every morning.
The terrace is accessible from the breakfast room and the living area. It was always fun to sit out here for dinner on beautiful nights or reading the paper with a coffee while watching the sun rise.
This is the view from the terrace over Turtle Creek.
This is the entry foyer. The front door would actually be on the right of this photo. There is a powder bath to the right of the console table and of course the living room is on the right.
This is the living room and the formal dinning area.
This photo was taken from the entrance of the kitchen, basically standing in the formal dining room. the entry way is on the left side and as you walk down the hallway on the far end of the photo you find the media room, library, and master bedroom.
Here is another angle. The kitchen is through the door you see on the back corner.
Here is the media room. We had a great cozy sofa under the two lights and a huge TV on the wall across from it.
Here is the library. This is where I did all of my studying. A computer desk and work space is hidden behind the cabinets you see on the right.
The list price in MLS will be $630,000 for sale and $4,850/month for rent.
